Lamar results and the current CJRA standings are posted. Thanks to the Lamar committee for the great prizes and added money, it was a great rodeo!
Entries for Holyoke are due Thursday, May 24.
All contestants at each CJRA rodeo are asked to bring a non perishable food item. The goods will be donated to a local food bank in each community as a gesture of good will from the CJRA. The items in Lamar were donated to a family that lost everything in a tornado two weeks ago.
Holyoke has stock car races in their arena on Friday evening. We won’t start the rodeo until 10:30 on Saturday, allowing contestants to come on Saturday because of the noise. Stalls and hookups will still be available on Friday for those who want them.
We will have a Goat Roping Saturday evening in Holyoke. All contestants are welcome to enter.
Leon Vick will assist any Junior Boys with Chute Dogging instruction following the rodeo in Holyoke on Saturday. Thanks to Leon for helping the Chute Doggers in Lamar.
There is a scheduling conflict in Yuma, so we will run Seniors Friday night and Saturday and 2 rounds of Pee Wee’s and Juniors on Saturday. There will be no rodeo on Sunday, as the arena isn’t available. The rodeo will begin at 5 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. Saturday.
Otero Junior College, Lamar Community College, Northeastern Junior College and Garden City Community College will be awarding scholarships to graduating CJRA members. More information will be available soon.
A bridle was left on the arena fence following the Barrel Race in Loveland on Saturday night. If anyone might have picked it up, please notify the CJRA office.
